Egyptian Swiss Group for Pasta, Milling, and Concentrates is participating in the “SIAL Paris” International Food Exhibition, which will be held in Paris, France, from October 19 to 23, 2024.
The company’s participation aligns with its strategy to strengthen its global presence and boost exports while executing expansion plans aimed at increasing production capacity in the manufacturing of pasta, flour, and sauces.
Plans to Increase Production and Export
Eng. Ahmed ElSebaie, General Manager of Egyptian Swiss Group, revealed that the company seeks to expand its exports to various markets, particularly increasing pasta exports by 50% as part of its international expansion strategy. This expansion will primarily focus on markets in West Africa and South America.
ElSebaie added that demand for the company’s products has significantly increased in these markets, particularly due to the absence of Turkish competition, which has given Egyptian Swiss Group a valuable opportunity to expand and strengthen its market share.
He also emphasized that the group is working diligently to enhance its production capacity to meet the growing global demand for its food products, stating that the company is committed to fulfilling international market needs with the highest efficiency.
Boosting Production Capacity to Meet Global Demand
In line with the group’s plans to increase production, ElSebaie revealed a new project to establish an additional production line for spaghetti, with a production capacity of 4 tons per hour, double the current capacity of 2 tons per hour.
He added that this expansion will enable the group to meet the increasing demand in global markets and further increase its export share.
ElSebaie also pointed out that the company plans to establish a new flour production line with a daily capacity of 400 tons, which will boost the group’s overall production capacity by 26%, raising it from 1,500 tons per day to 1,900 tons per day.
Importance of Specialized International Exhibitions
ElSebaie emphasized the significance of participating in specialized international exhibitions such as “SIAL Paris,” noting that such events provide a golden opportunity to showcase the company’s products on a global stage and engage with new clients.
He added that “SIAL Paris” is one of the largest and most prominent international food industry exhibitions, attracting more than 265,000 trade visitors annually from over 200 countries. It serves as an ideal platform for Egyptian companies to expand their client base and strengthen their business relationships with international partners.
Expanding into Global Markets
Egyptian Swiss Group is intensifying its efforts to expand its customer base in global markets, with a particular focus on African markets, especially West Africa, where the company’s products have seen increased demand.
ElSebaie confirmed that these markets represent key growth opportunities for the group, and the company is capitalizing on these prospects to enhance its export capacity.
Additionally, ElSebaie noted that South American markets also present significant opportunities for the company’s export growth, with increasing demand for Egyptian food products in those regions.
