Global education consultancy EDT&Partners and Egyptian skills development startup Eyouth have announced a strategic partnership aimed at equipping one million young people across Africa and the Middle East with essential digital skills.
The initiative, backed by a $6 million investment, will provide training for individuals aged 15 to 35 in key areas such as artificial intelligence, programming, data analysis, digital marketing, and modern pedagogies. This program will utilize advanced digital tools and strategic educational frameworks to ensure impactful learning outcomes.
Unveiled at Bett 2025, the world’s leading education technology event in London, the partnership highlights the transformative potential of technology in shaping the future of education and employment.
Eyouth’s well-established platform in the MENA region will be combined with EDT&Partners’ innovative educational technologies to deliver a comprehensive training experience. The program, set to launch in February 2025, will also provide financial support to qualified educators.
Addressing the Digital Skills Challenge
The global digital skills gap is estimated at $2.5 trillion, with the MENA region facing a severe shortage of qualified digital talent. Currently, only 1.7% of the region’s workforce is classified as “digital talent,” emphasizing the urgent need for targeted training initiatives like this one.
Eyouth and EDT&Partners: A Collaborative Vision
Both companies have committed $6 million to empower young people and educators by combining Eyouth’s expertise in skills development with EDT&Partners’ AI-driven educational technologies.
Pablo Langa, Founder and Managing Partner of EDT&Partners, emphasized the importance of digital skills, stating, “Education has a multiplier effect on societies and economies. Bridging the digital gap and equipping educators with AI skills are crucial for the region’s competitiveness.”
Mostafa Abdel Latif, Co-Founder and CEO of Eyouth, added, “We have already helped over three million youth develop their skills, and through this partnership, we aim to empower an additional one million young individuals to drive innovation across Africa and the Middle East.”
Program Accessibility and Opportunities
Participants will have access to an advanced learning platform featuring interactive training supported by AI-driven content from EDT and its partners, including Amazon Web Services. The program will also be introduced in vocational and higher education institutions across the region, including the NextEra Coalition in Cairo, and will be available in both English and Arabic.
Enrollment and Program Launch
The program is set to officially launch in February 2025. Interested young individuals, schools, and universities can register through the Eyouth platform and the EDT&Partners website.
